The “One-Way” Grocery Store Aisle Drifter

We love our local grocery spots, especially on a busy Friday afternoon when everyone is stocking up for the weekend. The stores are packed, the carts are full, and everyone is trying to navigate the aisles efficiently.

Enter the “Aisle Drifter.” This is the shopper who parks their cart perfectly sideways in the middle of the baking aisle, completely blocking traffic in both directions, while they spend ten minutes reading the ingredients on a box of crackers. They are entirely oblivious to the line of frustrated people forming on either side of them. If you try to say a polite “excuse me,” they look at you with deep confusion, as if you just interrupted them in their private living room. It’s a crowded supermarket, folks, not a scenic overlook. Keep your cart to the right!
