Mark your calendars for May 2, because the Bolivar Peninsula is about to get a whole lot sweeter! Lemonade Day Galveston County is back, and we are calling on all local youth to step up, squeeze some lemons, and start their very own businesses.
What is Lemonade Day?
Lemonade Day is a fun, hands-on program that teaches kids the “sour and sweet” of the business world. This isn’t just about selling a drink; it’s a strategic lesson in entrepreneurship. Participants learn how to:
- Create a business plan and set a budget.
- Market their product to the community.
- Provide great customer service.
- Keep the profits! After paying back their “investors” (usually Mom or Dad), the kids get to decide how to spend, save, and share their hard-earned money.
Calling All Young Entrepreneurs
Whether you have a secret family recipe or a flair for decorating, this is your chance to be the boss for a day. Registration is the first step toward building your empire and gaining skills that will last a lifetime.
Calling All Local Businesses: Host a Stand!
Are you a business owner with a little extra porch or parking lot space? We need you! We are looking for “Host Locations” to provide a safe, high-traffic spot for our young CEOs.
The Deal: If you offer the space, we will supply the kid!
It’s a fantastic way to support local youth, drive foot traffic to your storefront, and enjoy a cold glass of lemonade while you work.
