You are invited to the Bolivar Point Lighthouse Open House and “Pathway to the Light” Brick Viewing on Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the historic lighthouse grounds located at 419 Everett Lane in Port Bolivar.
Marking eighteen years since Hurricane Ike devastated the Bolivar Peninsula on September 13, 2008, this special event honors community resilience and celebrates how far the area has rebuilt while the 1872 landmark stood strong as a beacon of hope.
Attendees can walk the grounds to view the newly installed, custom-engraved commemorative brick pavers honoring family legacies and Gulf Coast history, hear an exclusive restoration update on securing the historic structure for future generations, and connect with neighbors and friends.
The gathering will also feature a special “Beacon of Resilience” ceremony at 12:00 p.m., welcoming guests to drop in anytime during the event hours to witness a lasting tribute to Bolivar’s enduring spirit.
