In response to this question posed on Facebook…

After years of low Sunday attendance, the shift to a Thursday through Saturday schedule was all about creating the best possible experience for our guests and supporting the vendors who make the festival so special.

By moving our third day to Thursday, we hoped to create a dedicated “Locals’ Day” – the perfect opportunity for those who live and work here to enjoy the festival food, music, and fun in a more relaxed, community-focused atmosphere before the weekend crowds arrived.

This shift also allowed us to better support our hard-working vendors and volunteers; this new lineup ensured they can wrap up a successful weekend on a high note Saturday night and spend Mother’s Day Sunday at home with their own families. It’s all about making the festival more sustainable for our partners and even more special for the locals who call Bolivar home!
