Bolivar Peninsula Charities Invests Big in Local Youth

Bolivar Peninsula Charities (BPC) has once again stepped up to support the future of the local community, announcing its latest round of academic scholarships and grants for graduating seniors.

This year, 10 outstanding students from the Bolivar Peninsula who attend Ball High School and High Island High School will receive financial awards to help fund their higher education journeys.

A Growing Impact on Local Students

The addition of this year’s class brings the total number of local students currently receiving active scholarship assistance from BPC to 25 individuals, representing over $116,000 in grant funding.

For BPC, this is part of a long-standing tradition of giving back. Since 2013, the organization—formerly known as Texas Crab Festival Charities—has awarded over $500,000 in cumulative grants and scholarships to support local youth.

“We are so grateful to be able to help these young adults continue their education,” said Mark DeSantis, BPC President. “Investing in our local seniors is one of the most rewarding things we do. These students represent the future of our community, and we are proud to stand behind them as they take their next steps.”
