Jerry & Karen 1972
Karen chose Crystal Beach as her home and has many memories here on Bolivar. Karen had a gift for bringing people together. She loved to entertain and took great joy in feeding family and friends. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter and full plates.
Karen also had a natural and lasting impact on her community. She was a second mom to many neighborhood children, always offering a place of comfort, encouragement and belonging.
Karen worked several years with George Vratis at the Bolivar Peninsula RV Park. The little things she did so effortlessly will be remembered and missed beyond words.
A memorial gathering and birthday celebration was held May 14, 2026 at the Tiki Bar & Grill. Thanks Chris & Karen for always allowing us to gather at your place of business.
It was said, “Life is not a journey to the grave arriving in a well presented body. One should show up late and skid in sideways, screaming, “Whoo Hoo, what a ride!”

Thanks Tiki Bar & Grill
