I think that may be a statement of fact! Along about this time of year, after going round and round with vendors (I do love them so), I do get a little “crabby.” I am, after all, the queen of emails, the fact that people don’t actually read all my emails, what’s up with that??
It’s okay, we’re down to the last week, not even, it’s like 2 days away. It’s been different. This year, we cut out Sunday, Mother’s Day. We added Thursday and we’ve changed the hours. It’s a little difficult to wrap your arms around. Hopefully, everyone shows up, I mean my vendors, but especially all you guys!
In the meantime, HELP has shown up, in the form of my brother-in-law, Chris. He’s one of our long-timers, I didn’t say old-timers. What a trooper, he got here on Sunday and plans to stay until next Sunday, Holly will join us/him on Wednesday.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great time to be with family, but it’s such a busy time, we don’t really have a chance to enjoy each other like we would normally. You know, like Moon and Mexican Train and food (crabs) and some beverages. Looks like it’s time for another family reunion – without a festival.
Our little girl, Merry, has her own special spot at the park while PawPaw and gang prepare the park for a Festival. Dennis and PawPaw “borrowed” a cyclone fenced pen or sorts from the rodeo grounds and set it up by the pavilion. Dennis brought two beds and they set up a canopy. She has a big bucket of water and all the toys and treats PawPaw can bring. She’s quite happy there with all the coming and going of people. She loves everybody and she thinks everybody loves her. Rightly so, she is, after all, a golden retriever. And, being a gold retriever, she’s already dug two great big holes in her canopied area.
Not the nicest golden retriever you’ve ever seen, but we hope to change all that after we get back from Tampa for our granddaughter Addyson’s graduation. That’s right after Crab Fest. I think we’ll be gone on Jeep Weekend. Holy Cow! Please watch over our house for us and please be safe!
Anyway, we (Merry and I) are registered for dog obedience at Petsmart the end of May. Then, oh I forgot to tell PawPaw, she has an appointment in June to be spayed.
All this puppy stuff and Crab Fest preparation has us really busy. Can’t wait to settle down to some baseball for The Littles and getting The Middles living back amongst us.
You know what that means, you Olders (you know who I’m talking about), it’s time to plan to spend some “beach time” with your Grands! Let’s make some plans!
