Swedes Park transformed into a buzzing hub of fall festivities on Saturday as local volunteer firefighters and EMS medics hosted a massive community Halloween celebration.
Festively decorated vehicles lined the park fence for a lively trunk-or-treat, passing out candy to costumed visitors of all ages. The crowd also gathered for a classic cake walk, with participants stepping to the beat in hopes of taking home a sweet, freshly baked prize. Between activities, guests refueled with hot dogs and cold drinks before testing their courage at the spine-chilling haunted house, complete with spooky music, roaring chainsaws, and plenty of laughs and screams.
The evening wrapped up on the big stage with a costume contest featuring divisions from infants to adults. Contestants showcased an impressive mix of hilarious, frightening, and imaginative looks, giving the judges a tough challenge before prizes were awarded to the top entry in each age group, capping off an unforgettable community night.
