Event Raises Money for Service Dogs Inc.
Our 4th Island Liquor Cigar/Bourbon Night was a smashing success!! Men, women, members, business leaders, and prospective members got a chance to indulge in hand rolled cigars from Carlos Cabeza in Galveston. Great job by Mike from Carlos Cabeza who put on an awesome display of a wide variety of wonderful cigars. The great folks from Island Liquor, Jack Davis and Andrew Otte teamed up with Jessica Pedersen and Chris Rinando from Giglio Distributing who presented 4 very nice impressions from Green River Distillery in Owensboro, KY, the 10th oldest bourbon maker in the State.
Decorations and snacks were provided by Taylor Wisdom, and Tracy Marcantel. Sabrina handled the bartending while Brittney and MJ from Tia Juanita’s Crystal Beach kept everyone happy serving each of the 4 Green River impressions from Straight Bourbon, Wheated Bourbon, Full Proof to Rye. Each offered a distinct flavor and paired well with Carlos Cabeza Cigars.
Brian Purcell and Shannon Mcallister Purcell were awesome bar backs who welcomed everyone, gave out raffle tickets and brought some great door prizes as well as Rusty Wilson from Tias, and Island Liquor. Thank you to Keith Zahar from the Big Store who always makes it a point to share some of his favorite cigars, this time some very nice Cohibas.
Congratulations to Todd Lakner, Timmy Armond, Danny Kitchens and a few others who won some very nice door prizes.
This was the second event of the Eagles calendar year to support our State Project, Service Dogs Inc out of Austin, Texas. Between the 2 Fashion Shows and Cigar nights the Eagles will present over $5000 from these events.
