Back by popular demand, the Texas Crab Festival will be presenting the Wiener Dog Races at the Texas Crab Festival on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 11:00 AM. If you have a full blooded dachshund, and would like to enter your dog in this event, please go to texascrabfestival.org/events to register your “baby” for this event. There is still no registration fee and along with great trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, the Crab Festival also gives cash prizes of $200 for 1st, $100 for 2nd and $50 for 3rd. It’s a fun event for all and whether your “low rider” is a seasoned vet or a newbie, all are welcome. Deadline to register is Saturday, May 2, 2026. After registration, you will be receiving all info needed by email or text. We look forward to meeting you and giving our audience the pleasure of these amazing little personalities!
