A New Beginning

It took awhile to arrange, but we finally pulled it off!

This summer, our family has been extremely busy. It’s not always easy to get everybody together at the same time, especially during summer. And so, it happened on Father’s Day that no one was around to celebrate. They did manage though to all call and wish PawPaw a happy Father’s Day.

Now, with our only granddaughter about to embark on a new era in her life, we managed to pull off a celebration for both. Be it a bit belated for Father’s Day, but with Addyson going off to college this week, what an appropriate time to get together. We all met at a BBQ place in League City, all three families. Missing a few, but thinking of you all – Grant, Eli and Chyna! These three are all extremely busy in their lives and none live nearby.

One of our extended families has moved to the Conroe area to run their new venue/adventure, another family has just moved back to Texas but just returned from a family function in Corpus Christi. The third family just returned from their summer outing in Florida after their other summer outing in Colorado. Whew, makes me tired!

Our granddaughter will be escorted to her Oklahoma University destination this week. Her car and her parents’ will be loaded to the gills with all the necessary stuff to set up her dorm at OU. Her Mom and I and other family members are stocked up and ready to begin sending those care packages.

Our 12-year-old grandson will play in a two-day golf tournament this week in the Woodlands. Oh, how excited we are for him! I’ll let you know how he does.

We’ll be on pins and needles the entire week. So excited for the upcoming college life and the results of the golf tournament. It’s never a dull moment.

In the meantime, Merry, Cindy and I wish you all a great week.
