By Linda Elissalde
Valerie Martin Hudson is a woman of many talents. She plays various musical instruments, composes music, travels, studies genealogy, crochets and enjoys movies and Crystal Beach,Texas. She retired after serving as Minister of Bay Vue Methodist Church for 10 years, and lives in Washington state near her daughter, son-in-law and grandson Isaac. Gifted Isaac follows in the family footsteps as he is a talented musician and enjoys hearing tales about his family’s history. So he and his grandmother worked together to create a delightful historical fiction book titled TIME FOR FREEDOM: The Connolly Chronicles: Book One.

This novel contains aspects of American colonial history, adventure, horticulture, religion and even medical information. There are enough heroes, heroines and villains to keep both young readers and adults entertained. Seen through the eyes of different characters makes for engaging points of view. Each Connolly has a distinct personality. Danny Connolly really caught my interest. I look forward to the next installment because I want to know more about the Connolly family’s adventures.
I gave TIME FOR FREEDOM 5 stars. This historical fiction book just might awaken your interest in the fascinating aspects of America’s past. In my opinion, you should give it a read.

TIME FOR FREEDOM: The Connolly Chronicles: Book One is available on AMAZON.
