Crab Festival Leaders Recognized for Dedication and Service

The Texas Crab Festival luncheon honoring the 2026 festival committee captains was held at Margaritaville on Friday. The event served as a heartfelt tribute to the leaders who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to turn this year’s festival into a huge success.

Mark DeSantis, President of Bolivar Peninsula Charities, took the stage to express his gratitude to all the volunteers and participants. He emphasized the significant impact that their efforts have on the community, noting that the funds raised through the festival and various donations are reinvested locally to support numerous community initiatives and projects. “Your participation and dedication are what make the Texas Crab Festival not just a fun event, but a meaningful one that benefits us all,” DeSantis stated.
