The wait is over! We are proud to announce the winning design for the Official 2026 Texas Crab Festival T-shirt. We are thrilled to receive so many excellent designs this year. Our panel of judges—representing all of our various festival committees—had a difficult task. We truly appreciate the time, talent, and passion poured into so many incredible entries.
Winner: Lora Fagen
This design perfectly captures the spirit of the festival, and we can’t wait to see it worn by our festival fans this year!

Lora Fagen’s (we call her “Lori”) love for painting began with paint by numbers kits when she was eight years old. Her talents grew taking art classes in high school. During her senior year, she was asked to paint the backdrop for the senior prom. The theme was “Stairway To Heaven.” Lori is a very versatile artist. She can recreate anything, but has an appreciated flair for creative original artwork of her on. Lori displays her art at the crab festival each year.
We also want to give a huge shout-out to our Runner-Up. This design will be displayed on the 2026 Crab Patrol shirt worn by Festival volunteers.
Runner-Up: Jerry Goen

Jerry Goen is a graphic designer by trade and a multiple winner of the Texas Crab Festival T-Shirt Design Contest. His family had a place near Rollover Pass and he began visiting Bolivar at an early age where he would fish and spend lots of family gatherings. But, like so many others, Hurricane Ike changed all that. He has hopes to rebuild a home on the very same lot, with the intention of living there permanently, creating art design and putting down roots in the Bolivar Peninsula Community.Thank you again to every artist who entered. The level of talent this year was truly off the charts!
Shirts featuring the winning design will be available soon, at the festival and online.
