TCFC Awards Scholarships to Ten High Island High School Graduates

Graduation night at High Island High School last Friday was extra special for ten seniors who were awarded scholarships from Texas Crab Festival Charities (TCFC). The evening was filled with pride and excitement as these outstanding students were recognized for their achievements and potential.

The scholarships were presented by Annette Dailey, TCFC Scholarship Director, who congratulated the students and wished them well on the next chapter of their academic journeys. Each recipient plans to continue their education at various colleges and universities across Texas and beyond, pursuing degrees in fields ranging from engineering and education to healthcare and business.

Mark DeSantis, TCFC President, shared heartfelt words about the graduates’ accomplishments: “I couldn’t be prouder of the graduates and all they’ve achieved. It’s fantastic to see their hard work and dedication paying off. I’m also delighted that we can support them on their journey with these scholarships. It’s a privilege to be part of their success and to contribute to their bright futures.”

Texas Crab Festival Charities has a long-standing commitment to supporting local youth through education. Funded by proceeds from the annual Texas Crab Festival and other generous donations, the scholarship program is one of the many ways TCFC gives back to the Bolivar Peninsula community.

Congratulations to the High Island High School Class of 2025 and this year’s scholarship recipients—your community is proud of you, and we can’t wait to see what you accomplish next!
