Slippin’ and a’Slidin’

Well, we did it! Five years later, we’ve decided to go ahead and get a new pool. A couple of the legs rusted out (we’ll have to figure out how to remedy that) and the liner faded from a bright vibrant blue to almost white, so, time to go!

The new pool should be delivered sometime this week. The “pool boy” took the old pool apart, including the under cloth used to protect the liner from actually touching the concrete. The plastic under the pool had become very slippery and slimy, so Pool Boy took extra precautions when walking around out there to pick it up for disposal. One misstep and down you go, possibly breaking a hip or something.

We’re super excited to get the new pool. We’re recruiting helpers as we speak, remembering how tough it was to place the darn thing once we begin filling it up.

How about that storm! I think it was about 3 am Monday morning. It went by fast but sure created a ruckus while it lasted. Maezy hated it, nothing to do to calm her down though. The lightning was ferocious. By the time it was over, I guess I had another 2 hours before I had to rise. That gave me more time to snooze and dream a couple more dreams.

Is Spring Break over? I was in Tulsa last weekend, so hopefully, I missed the busiest of the whole month. That rain last night took care of the donuts dug by a truck on Sunday, beat it down really good!

We had our first “deck sit” of the year on Sunday night. An Old Fashioned for the Pool Guy and a class of white Pinot for me. The weather was a bit chilly, but it was very enjoyable to be outdoors again.

Enjoy outside while you can. I bet we’re almost done with the cold weather.

As Roy used to say, Until We Meet Again!
