There’s nothing like the 4th of July with family and fire works! We had all that and a bag of chips!
Thanks to my sweet Leigh Boot Bottom, I have a ton of pictures to share with y’all. We don’t do much beach sitting unless we have a whole group of family with us, but this weekend, we did it up right! Thank goodness my kiddos still love the beach.
We even celebrated a birthday for our newest family member. Chyna will be turning 26 later this month, but we thought it would be the right time to celebrate while we were all together. Lizzy Sweets baked up a fantastic Spice Cake with Cream Cheese frosting and I made one of my famous lemon pound cakes with glazed lemon frosting.
Many of us practiced and improved our washers’ skills, some of us improved our baseball, pickle ball & volleyball skills. Water volleyball and out-on-the-lawn volleyball. Oh, and when we were stuck inside, we turned the dining room table into a ping pong table.
Paul brought the rest of his BBQ from the wedding and Leigh brought the rest of the beer from the wedding, made it a challenge finding enough refrigerator space, but we managed superbly! Both disappeared!
Most of the family disappeared on Sunday, some had to fly to Dallas and some to Indiana. The Tampa Mom & Dad & Furry Friend drove back on Sunday in time to catch the kids who flew back early Monday morning. We woke them at 3am. PawPaw said they slept all the way to the airport. I’m sure they all took naps after their parents picked them up at 10am Tampa-time on Monday.
Here’s some pics from our great family reunion! Hope you had a wonderful 4th as well.
