As you’re reading Local News, we’ll be headed to Tishomingo to pick up Merry, what in the world are we getting ourselves into? Two mid-70-year-olds raising, yet again, another puppy. She’ll be 8 weeks old when we get her. Robin, the breeder, took all eleven of them to the vet for their first checkup, all are healthy and thriving. I get pictures often, but Robin hasn’t told me which one is Merry Grace yet. I told her I didn’t want the smallest or the alpha, we’ll see? I’m sure we’ll love whichever one we get.
I did some shopping on Saturday, plants, food, and Sketchers. As you all know, I have this thing for plants. My garden is awful and bugging me to no end. So, Saturday, I bought about 5 tomato plants and 1 green pepper and a hibiscus. I’m pretty sure one of my hibiscuses won’t be coming back, so I’ll replace it. Going to try to get out there to trim off the dead parts of the other hibiscus and maybe replant the plumeria. Hope I’m not going about this too early, hopefully, we’re through with the freezes.
Stopped by the Sketcher store in League City on Saturday. I have this thing for white tennis shoes and especially the Slip-Ins! Struggled between two pairs of shoes and finally made up my mind. When I got up to the register, the lady asked me why I wasn’t purchasing “buy one, get the next half off?” Well, I’ll be darned. I told her to wait a minute; I ran back to pick up that other pair I’d been pondering about and got them too! It was a win-win situation, I couldn’t resist.
Monday was a bear! I had to finish payroll all in one day since I wouldn’t be there on Tuesday & Wednesday. Then, off to Galveston to pick up a prescription. I sure wish we had a pharmacy over here. Maybe one of these days, right?
