Nesting

I’ve done this a time or two, It’s not my first Rodeo.”  Only this time, it’s for a furry creature, not someone I’ve given birth to. Our Fur Baby was born January 1st, one of eleven for goodness sakes. I’ll bet that Mom will miss all the little rambunctious pups, and I’ll bet once they’ve been assigned to all of us eagerly awaiting parents, they’re going to miss their siblings.

We get to pick her up close to end of this month, so I’ve been preparing for her homecoming. I just found out there’s at least 10 casinos in the area of Oklahoma where she was born and where we’ll pick her up. Perhaps, we’ll play a few games of Black Jack to see if we can soften the cost of the trip and all. If you know what I mean … We plan to stay somewhere near the night before so we can get an early start home after we meet her.

Her name is Merry, this is her bed. Aunt Camber embroidered her name on it; it was a Christmas gift.

This weekend, another shopping excursion – bought her a kennel. Maezy never took to the kennel idea, after much persuasion, we’re going to try it with Merry. A new bowl, she’ll have to grow into Maezy’s old bowl, it’s a bit too tall for this little tyke right now.

And a cuddly with heartbeat and heater, Aunt Sarah said it was a “must have.”

I’ll bet you’re missing all my stories about gardening, but guess what? After all this freeze stuff we’ve been having, the garden is on the back burner. We attempted to cover our beautiful tomato plants, I didn’t have the nerve to look under the plastic to see if it was worth covering them. The hibiscus and variegated ginger nipped bad! The Pride of Barbados will have to be cut back which is probably a good thing because last year, after we cut it back, It grew to it’s highest and fullest ever! I’m hoping the hibiscus will come back, but I know I must be patient and wait until March or April. I’ll have to admit, it’s hard to look at – really nasty and brown – all of it!

Okay, that’s all I’ve got for this week you guys.

Oh, except, my puzzle is coming along. I can’t walk by without getting distracted. It’s too easy to just park myself there and forget about my stories and dinner and other necessary stuff.
