Let it Snow

And it did! Wasn’t it beautiful? Can we depend on Snow every 4 years? I hope so!

My boss texted me, “Stay home!” So, I did. What fun to stay in jammies until 10 in the morning. Didn’t lose internet, so it was easy to work from home. For two days! He, the boss, was trapped on the other side of the High Island bridge. I was trapped in my house, too afraid of slipping on ice and snow to get out on the deck and down the stairs.

The kiddos enjoyed the snow, this is Fred!

These kids are no strangers to snow, they just returned from their Colorado ski trip after Christmas.

Thank goodness we never lost electricity. Wait a minute! We did. I remember the generator shutting off maybe the night after our first snowfall. I didn’t wake my husband because I didn’t remember the pool pump. When the electricity goes off, the pool pump must be manually turned back on. Needless to say, the pump froze up overnight. Possibly a goner – Oh Dear!

I started a puzzle on my “time off” from work. It’s kicking my You-Know-What!

I got so excited to start working on a puzzle again, I went out to Amazon and ordered 3 more. The first one came in today and I’m so tempted to ditch the “buoys” and start my new one. I hate to be a quitter, but geez! Like a book you can’t get into, gotta ditch it – Life is Too Short! Right?

Work is busy, always a new learning curve for “this ol’ dog.” ZOOM! Yep, while on my “snow break,” we had a Zoom call for work. No Zoom on this home computer, I had to load it and then manage to sign in and conduct business. Oh Dear! No makeup, hair uncombed, first thing in the morning, first cup of coffee and my actual live picture was on the call. For me, it was at a distance, no telling what the audience was seeing. I don’t want to know.

Yep, times, they are a’changing. I’m just doing my best to stay a-float. A little challenge in your life isn’t a bad thing. The main thing is to stay positive and stay up and ready for changes. It’s what keeps the world spinning.

Blessings to all my loved ones and to all you other folks out there as well!
