Captain Jeff Brandon Fishing Report

Surface water temperature has reached 85 degrees in East Galveston Bay, creating ideal conditions for catching Specks around protected shorelines, over scattered shell and Redfish along grass lines. The lighter jig heads and paddle-tailed lures are proving highly effective. Our clients are achieving great success using Fish Smack Popping corks with tails and topwater baits, especially during early morning and late afternoon trips.

As the bay system continues to thrive, we’re seeing more solid fish on reefs and a promising increase in larger Trout on most trips. To avoid fishing pressure, consider Fishing on weekdays if at all possible.
