The Bolivar Peninsula Chamber of Commerce is proud to celebrate its 50th Anniversary, marking half a century of fostering economic growth, supporting local businesses, and enhancing the quality of life on the Bolivar Peninsula.
Founded with the filing of its Articles of Incorporation on October 28, 1975, the Bolivar Peninsula Chamber of Commerce was created by a group of visionary community leaders who recognized the importance of uniting businesses and residents to promote the Peninsula’s unique coastal economy. Over the years, the Chamber has evolved into a cornerstone of the community—advocating for infrastructure improvements, championing local businesses, and organizing signature events that bring residents and visitors together.
“Reaching 50 years is not just about longevity—it’s about the incredible people who have worked tirelessly to make Bolivar Peninsula a better place to live, work, and visit,” said Beth Terminella, Board President of the Bolivar Peninsula Chamber of Commerce.
“This milestone is a testament to the dedication of our past presidents, board members, and volunteers who have continued to push our mission forward through the decades.”
Throughout its history, the Chamber has been led by a number of devoted presidents and business leaders who have guided the organization through growth and change, helping shape the Peninsula’s vibrant future. From early pioneers of the 1970s to the leadership of recent years, the Chamber’s work has remained rooted in collaboration, service, and community pride.
To commemorate this milestone, the Chamber will host a 50th Anniversary Celebration Luncheon on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Margaritaville in Crystal Beach. The event will feature remarks from community dignitaries, including Judge Mark Henry, Sheriff Jimmy Fullen, Commissioner Joe Giusti, and State Representative Terri Leo Wilson, along with special presentations and a look ahead at the Peninsula’s next chapter of progress.
As the Chamber looks toward the future, it remains committed to promoting sustainable development, supporting entrepreneurship, and building partnerships that strengthen the Bolivar Peninsula’s economic and cultural vitality.
