Bay Vue’s Second Going Resale Store is the gift that just keeps on giving. They are ready to help where ever there is a need. One of the many causes that Second Going continues to champion is public school education on Bolivar Peninsula. Once again these wonderful volunteers visited Crenshaw School and High Island School District to present monetary gifts to all who help with education at the start of the 2025 school year.
Crenshaw and High Island School District each received $3000. Teachers and personnel at Crenshaw acquired $10,600. High Island’s teachers and personnel were given a total of $10,000 bringing those presents to a total of $26,000.
Everybody could use the money in any way that helped students achieve success. I am a former public school teacher. The generosity of Second Going is something I would certainly have appreciated. How wonderful to receive funds with no strings attached. For educators to be allowed spend it in ways they know help meet the needs of their scholars is marvelous.
Second President of The Republic of Texas Mirabeau B. Lamar is often called, “The Father Of Texas Education” for his efforts in establishing public school education funding. He believed that, “Education is the guardian genius of democracy.”
That idea resounds with Bolivar Peninsula citizens. The philanthropy of organizations and residents to our public schools continues while we proudly proclaim that BAY VUE’S SECOND GOING RESALE STORE SUPPORTS BOLIVAR PENINSULA EDUCATION!
