Baby It’s Cold Outside

I’ve always said, “I love the cold weather!” I guess that was before my body changed it’s internal temperature. Does a body do stuff like that? I keep the heater in my office on all the time! I never put my winter clothes away; I may wear a sweatshirt to work even in August. I’ve googled the situation to see if I’m sick or anything, but there’s no indication to prove I’m lacking any vitamin or anything substantial. And, don’t say it’s TMB!

Anyway, the weather finally warmed up a little on Sunday, enough for me to have the gumption to get out there and string my outside lights around the deck. Using the lights I had last year, about half of three strands were burned out, so they had to be trashed. I just happen to have extras, so I finished the last ones on Monday.

GO's Sand Bucket-house llights

Lately, I’ve been spending my weekends shopping, I realize I do this to myself, but after all, Christmas is my most favorite time of the year! Below is a pic of stuff for my work peeps, ladies only! The guys will get a cookie tray or something similar, they love to eat!

GO's Sand Bucket-presents hiding in the closet

I feel I’m making progress with the wrapping and organizing around here. Half the dining room table is clear. Enough that we were able to play a game of scrabble the other night. One bed upstairs is clear so I can put sheets on it and start getting ready for the Tampa folks who will be joining us soon. Two more queen-size beds and one twin to go. Thank goodness I left our bed out of the chaos. Gotta have a place to sleep around here.

I just got the water shortage alert until Thursday when they’ll test the water again. And thank goodness the Burn Ban has been lifted, it just took a little much-needed rain!

Hey, don’t forget the Crystaland Parade this Saturday, go claim your spot on the beach and come on by the Crystal Beach Fire Station after the parade to see Santa and Mrs. Claus. Grab a hot dog, a soda and some chips.

Santa’s going to be all over the place, he’s one busy guy this time of year! BE GOOD!
