A May Cold Front

The sun was out bright and shiny and I had just decided to go out and lie in the pool. But first, I thought I’d go ahead and plant some more flowers I bought yesterday. I had my orange Gator Ade and my towel. Then, along came this cool blast of wind and the sky went dark. A Cold Front?? What the heck?

Back inside I went to get out of my bathing suit and put on a long sleeve shirt. Dang it! It’s all good, I had to write my story anyway.

By the way, I hope you’ve had a great Memorial Day Weekend, the beginning of Summer! What a joy to see all the families having a good time, enjoying the beach sensibly.

I can’t believe it, but Monday morning, I had to go to The Big Store to get a few things like creamer for my coffee that I forgot when I went shopping on Saturday. First, I went to my work to take all the candy I purchased at Sam’s. I try to keep the candy jar filled for all the medics who drop by my office from time to time. It took almost 20 minutes to get from the CB Fire Station to The Big Store. The traffic was outrageous! $88 dollars later, I left. There at the light was a traffic cop helping all the crowds get through. I imagine they had one at the Stingaree light as well.

It had been a while since we made it to Galveston for Mass, what with Crab Fest then Jeep Weekend. Kinda nice to get back into the swing of normalcy. After breakfast at Star Drug Store, we decided to go to Home Depot for a pool project my husband found. I went to the garden department of course. Loaded up on dirt and some veggie plants for those cute, galvanized troughs I got for Christmas.

Oh, just had to show you my one lemon. See it? It looks like a lime, but I know it’s a lemon because it’s a lemon tree. I think?

We’ll talk again next week. I’ll have plenty of news about the wedding! Our first Grand to Tie the Knot!
