The annual Lighthouse
Krewe Mardi Gras Parade is held each year on the
Saturday before Mardi Gras. The parade started in the
early 1990's and continues to grow each year as one of
the most popular events on Bolivar Peninsula. Decorate
your float or vehicle and enter the parade, or stand
along the highway and collect beads and goodies. ( PHOTOS)

Easter
SON-Rise Service
The Annual Easter Beach
‘SON Rise’ Service is sponsored by the Bolivar Peninsula
Ministerial Alliance. As the sun rises above the gulf,
the uplifting music and powerful Easter message touch
the hearts of everyone in attendance. Worshipers came in
golf carts, ATVs, cars and by foot to take part in this
glorious event on the beach.

The PSP Watermelon Crawl
is an exciting day of "crawling" to some of Crystal
Beach's most popular spots by way of a beach parade.
Dress up your Jeep, Golf Cart, and Yourself. Prizes for
Best Decorated Vehicle, Best Costume, Watermelon Themed
Challenges. All proceeds benefit the Peninsula
Sports Park youth athletic programs.

The Texas Crab Festival
currently boasts thousands annually on Mothers Day
Weekend for three days of Fun…Sun…and CRABS, CRABS,
CRABS! All proceeds from the annual Texas Crab Festival
are reinvested in the community and help to fund youth
scholarships and camps, and various outreach initiatives
on Bolivar.

Bolivar Chamber of
Commerce hosts the annual Crystaland Christmas Parade
the second Saturday in December. Enter your decorated
trailer, vehicle, golf cart, business or home. After the
parade, Santa Claus will greet all the children with a
gift. Hot dogs, cookies and drinks will be served.
