This is a re-post of an article written by the late outdoor writer/photographer Ed Snyder who authored numerous articles for Crystal Beach Local News. Ed was a native Texan from Harlingen with over 25 years of outdoor media experience in the field of freshwater and saltwater tournament angling and sports-fishing. Ed lived on the Bolivar Peninsula and wrote stories about fishing and wildlife in the area.
