Nobody does Halloween better than The Bolivar Peninsula. There are many celebrations provided by different organizations. Marcel and I certainly enjoyed our outing at Jayla’s located east of former Rollover Pass. The place was perfectly decorated for Halloween. Food and beverages were great. Excellent service and last, but defiantly not least, music provided by “Girl Band 2.0”.
Laura McKinney welcomed everyone as the dance floor filled with those clothed in clever costumes or regular beach attire. Everyone boogied or swayed or sang along with that fine band. Talented performers include Susan Shafer (Lady Liberty) leader on keys and vocals, Claude Darby (Claudette ) lead guitar and vocals, Brent Finch (Bernadette) bass player and vocals, and the ever popular Gerry Lang (1 Armed Harmonica Girl). Max Reho and Andrew “Smiley” Gum (The Bar Guys) never stopped filling food and drink orders.
Party hours were 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM followed by Karaoke until 11:00. The party was really going strong when we left the dance floor at 7:30. What a grand Halloween it was indeed. It is always a grand time when you go JIVIN’ AT JAYLA’S!
PS: Friendly dogs are always welcomed.
