Chamber of Commerce Welcomes New Executive Director and Administrative Assistant

The Bolivar Peninsula Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the appointment of Christina O’Dell, IOM, as its new Executive Director and Courtney Ellison as Administrative Assistant. These additions mark an exciting step forward as the Chamber continues strengthening local business support, tourism development, and community engagement across the Bolivar Peninsula.

Christina O’Dell, IOM Joins as Executive Director

O’Dell has ten years of experience in chamber management, economic development, nonprofit leadership, tourism, business management, and workplace law. Before joining the Chamber, she served as Executive Vice President at Partnership Lake Houston where she managed the day-to-day operations of the chamber, lead the Leadership Lake Houston program, government relations and staff management, she also went back to school and held a full-time schedule while working for the chamber.

As Executive Director, O’Dell will oversee Chamber operations, support local businesses, lead tourism and marketing initiatives, and drive strategic planning efforts for the peninsula.

Courtney Ellison Appointed Administrative Assistant

The Chamber also welcomes Courtney Ellison, whose strong background in office administration, communications, and community engagement makes her an exceptional addition to the team. Ellison brings a high level of professionalism, organization, and a proven ability to collaborate effectively, qualities that align perfectly with the Chamber’s commitment to service and excellence. In her role as Administrative Assistant, she will support daily operations, assist Chamber members, manage office communications, and help coordinate key events and programs that serve the Bolivar Peninsula community.
