Bolivar Peninsula’s Mardi Gras Season Kicks Off in Style!

The countdown to Carnival has officially begun. The Bolivar Peninsula Lighthouse Krewe ignited the 2026 Mardi Gras season in spectacular fashion on Sunday, November 16th, with their annual “King and Queen Brunch.”

The reigning royalty, King Morris and Queen Renee Montalvo, alongside Duke Mingo and Duchess Maddie Perez, hosted the festive gathering at Tia Juanita’s Fish Camp.

A salute goes to the 2026 Royal Court, Jeff and Marie Butler, Luke and Perry English, and Scott Wright and Wendy Dozier! The Krewe’s new sovereigns were determined by a random cupcake draw, and it was Jeff and Marie Butler who found the coveted “baby” in their treat! A heartfelt Laissez les bons temps rouler to the entire court!
