“Reaching New Milestones” was the fitting theme for the Bolivar Peninsula Chamber of Commerce’s 50th Anniversary Leadership Luncheon, held last Tuesday at Camp Margaritaville. The event marked half a century of dedication, collaboration, and progress on the Bolivar Peninsula — and it was nothing short of a gala affair.
A Milestone Worth Celebrating
Business leaders, longtime residents, and local dignitaries filled the ballroom to celebrate the Chamber’s golden anniversary and its remarkable growth over the years. From a small coastal community group to a thriving network of more than 240 members, the Chamber has become the driving force behind economic development, tourism, and civic engagement across the Peninsula.

Honoring the Past, Embracing the Future
Chamber President Beth Terminella opened the luncheon with heartfelt remarks, honoring the past presidents, volunteers, and members whose dedication built the foundation for today’s success. She spoke about the Chamber’s mission of “working together for a stronger Bolivar Peninsula,” and how the organization continues to connect businesses, promote the region, and support community initiatives.
Voices of Leadership
After lunch service, attendees heard from several county and state officials, each offering congratulations and optimism for the future of Bolivar Peninsula.
- Galveston County Sheriff Jimmy Fullen praised the community’s spirit and commitment to safety.
- Galveston County Commissioner Joe Giusti reflected on the tremendous progress seen in infrastructure and local business growth.
- Galveston County Judge Mark Henry highlighted ongoing county partnerships and projects that will continue to strengthen the Peninsula’s future.

Looking Ahead
The event celebrated more than just a milestone — it underscored a shared vision for continued growth, resilience, and community pride. As the Bolivar Peninsula Chamber of Commerce embarks on its next 50 years, the message was clear: through teamwork and leadership, Bolivar’s best days are still ahead.
