Lovely, my favorite time of year, and I’m looking forward to all kinds of stuff, not just cooler weather.
Like Ghost on the Coast will be the Saturday before Halloween, probably the 25th unless they decide to have it on Friday, October 31st, but I doubt it.
The Cultural Foundation Market the 20th of September. All our favorite vendors will be there and I heard there’s a very special raffle taking place, you won’t want to miss it!
Before Thanksgiving, we have a trip planned for Arlington, Virginia. That’s when my father’s monument will be placed in Arlington Cemetery. United States Air Force Veteran, my Dad, Lt. Colonel GI Poole. His plane went down in Alaska in December 1958, never found. With the determination of my son-in-law, Paul, we will honor my father at a ceremony scheduled for November. Practically the whole family will attend. My Cup Runneth Over.
Another venture planned, thinking of taking off somewhere for Thanksgiving. Maybe the hill country. We talk about it every year. If something else should come up, we’ll plan it again for next year. Who knows?
I just texted my Nutcracker Market daughter/friends to see if we’re on for some exciting shopping-shopping-shopping again this year. We’ll see. I’ll load up on vitamins and bring some extra ibuprofen. Don’t worry, I’ll bring enough for all y’all!
Then, the other day, our Tampa family told us they’re coming for Christmas this year. Oh, how exciting! My husband said, “I guess that means we have to put the tree up?” Well, guess what honey, we were going to put it up whether we stayed at home or not. It’s a grueling task, but I love it more than anything, and I couldn’t stand not having a tree.
I’ve been stocking up on jigsaw puzzles for the new year. That’s my puzzle time of year.
All these things to look forward to, stay tuned.
Happy Trails!
