The principal of Crenshaw School, Tracie Camp, and the superintendent of High Island ISD, Dr. David Walker, have chosen to donate their schools’ portions of the 2025 Golf Cart Poker Run proceeds to support schools in the Texas Hill Country affected by the recent flooding.
In addition, ALL THREE or our Peninsula Fire Departments have also requested that their portions of the proceeds be donated to Texas Hill Country Fire Departments who continue to serve their communities during this difficult time.
As we come together for the Golf Cart Poker Run event, we recognize the ongoing struggles many families and communities in the Hill Country are facing. These struggles and hardships will continue for quite a while. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone impacted.
Thank you to all of our participants, advertisers and donors for your continued generosity. Your involvement is making a direct impact—not only here in our own community—but in the communities around us. Together, we are helping to bring hope and relief to those who need it most.
YOU CAN ALSO HELP MAKE a huge difference and increase the impact of these folks generosity by being a part of our online auction (which is open now) AND by attending the live auction on Saturday August 2nd at 2:30 pm at Down Under, Stingaree Restaurant.
