Never a Dull Moment

Aunt Leigh picked up the Tampa Grands from the airport on Wednesday, PawPaw got to the League City house early on Thursday to grab them! (As long as we live, we’ll never understand “sharing them,” but share them we must!) As a matter of fact, as we speak, the whole Tampa family is in San Antonio visiting the “other side.” They’ve already visited the Alamo and have toured TXST in San Marcos. Addyson has only one year left in high school, so this may be another choice. She’s already seen OSU & OU, tomorrow, she’ll visit UTSA, which is dear to our hearts, ALL three of ours went to UTSA (best kept secret in Texas)!

We’ve had a big week already, Kevin Fowler concert at Margaritaville on Saturday night, the guys played golf on Saturday morning, and the girls hit all the local shopping in CB – Salty Mermaid, Latitude and of course, The Big Store!

Dax’s favorite thing to do, fishing. We found him down at the slough on Friday morning casting for bait. Not a lot, so PawPaw took him down to the washout. Big Michael took all the kids down to the beach in the morning with kayaks so they could go out to catch the “big ones.”

Kelly found a good book, so that’s where you can find her, lounging on the couch reading, or in the pool. Not a lot of time to just float in the pool with the volleyball net we bought from Amazon. I jump in whenever I can, during “break times.” When I hear them gearing up again to play, I make my exit. It’s all good!

We’ve had a couple of baseball games, no pickleball yet. I anticipate this will all take place this weekend when two more Grands come in and our daughter, Leigh, son-in-law, Paul, and our newest family member, Chyna! Eli plans to take Chyna crabbing, something every “new family member” should know. I’m picking up a few dozen from Joe’s just in case. Eli plans to show Chyna how to eat crabs too. This ought to be interesting … Chyna is a meat & potatoes type of girl. “Good luck Eli, we’ll see how this works out for you!”

Have a safe and fantastic 4th Y’all! We’ll talk again next week.
