We never end an evening or breakfast or trip or travel or wedding without planning our next get together with family. The 4th of July get together has been planned for quite a while now. That’s with the Tampa folks. Then, at the wedding (I think) several more families joined in. The League City gang along with our Indiana grandson and now, the soon-to-be Dallas couple, Eli and Chyna. They’re all coming here to the beach to stay with us. Oh, and friends of Grant, the Indiana Grand. Grant the Grand. Catchy huh?
Paul and Leigh will drive “the Coach” down for some overflow. We’ll park it on the back lot behind our house. All you Neighbors, get ready! There goes the neighborhood …
So, as we speak and as I sit here at work, I find out The Littles are at the washout catching fish and crabs. I’m jealous! As soon as I finish my story, I’m going to go play with them.
We had an early Father’s Day celebration on Saturday over at Leigh and Paul’s. And, before everyone showed up, “just to keep it low key,” we also celebrated Leigh’s birthday. Her birthday fell between the wedding and Father’s Day, so we had to play a bit of Catch Up!
We got to bring The Littles home with us after our Father’s Day breakfast on Sunday. They searched and searched for Boadie, the Toad. I don’t know if you remembered the last time they were here, they found Boadie and took care of him all weekend. They couldn’t take Boadie with them because Mommy said, “Boadie’s a Coastal Toad and he wouldn’t survive in the city.” We set Boadie free, but I told the kids they could find him again the next time they visited. And sure ‘nuff! There he was waiting for them. I think, since they left, Boadie found a wife. “Jackson” is now playing with The Littles and they’re all having a grand time!
I hope all you Dads had a wonderful Father’s Day. Quite a deserving bunch of ya!
