The Peninsula Sports Park (PSP) Watermelon Crawl is one of the most colorful and quirky annual traditions on the Bolivar Peninsula. It’s essentially a giant, themed poker run and beach parade that doubles as a major fundraiser for local youth.
It’s a multi-stop "crawl" through Crystal Beach. You’ll visit various local businesses to play games, collect stamps, and earn points. Everything is watermelon. We’re talking golf carts, Jeeps, and people decked out in bright pink and green, rinds and seeds included. A major highlight is when the line of decorated golf carts and Jeeps hits the sand for a massive beach parade.
Plan to join the "Crawl" on Saturday, April 18, 2026. All proceeds go to the Peninsula Sports Park, supporting youth athletic programs, park maintenance, and scholarships for local graduating seniors.
